All I could think was "subtext my ass!" And I wonder if anybody else caught the subtle cruelty of Roy's remark to Riza--that if she shoots him, what will she do with her life? To me...there was a real jab hidden in his words. Granted he was furious--but if you've ever seen a gay man frustrated when a straight woman falls for him and makes a pest of herself and wrecks a friendship...Kind of like, "well, you've made me the center of your existence. I didn't ask for that. You chose to obsess. You kill me...then what are you going to get hung up on?" And her response? a threat of suicide.
And that scene...that scene...the montage...Roy's anguish. How the hell could ANY of those Royai shippers miss that?
