Con wrap-up

No bids; no one wanted my art. Disappointed but not surprised, that's on a par with how my stuff is generally received.

Aside from that and the general lack of organization the con went really well. I wish I'd been able to get the costume done, but that kind of sewing was really not going to happen. It's still not going to happen, not any time soon. But I really enjoyed the panels - though the chairs in those rooms were killing my back for some reason - and got some nifty swag, so it was a good weekend.

I also found a local(ish) art group and am pretty excited about that - I've been needing some source of critiques, never mind the whole support and socializing aspect. And they welcome writing as well as visual art.

So yeah, that's about it. Back to the real world, which right now is knocking on doors and annoying people.

Yeah, it's been a pretty tough year for spending money... I think I spent maybe $40 that wasn't fees or food, which is pretty sad for a con. But stuff *did* sell in the art gallery - just not anything of mine. But like I said, I'm not really surprised.

I'm thinking of putting some of these up at yaoi con - they're already matted, so I might as well, right? ^_^

I know what you mean. LouisiANIME is a very small con and only its second year and their dealer room is tiny artist alley is only like in the small hallway outside the dealer room. =/

Mechacon will be bigger. Sure do it for Ycon but I do want to buy Fullmetal Fanservice for sure ^_^ unfortunately I can't do ycon this year airfare is just too much almost $500 for me to go for 2 days uh no, next year I'm saving to go. So let me know how much :D

Geez, I dunno ^^; I only had to come up with opening bids for the gallery, I'm not sure how much I'd want for a set price...

Hmmm ... well it depends if you have it as a one time piece or if you made copies per se to sell the prints but still own the original piece I guess. Like Amelie all her work is $10 a print and $7 a badge I think ...

These were all the originals, which makes it harder ^^; (but I had the starting bid for that one at $10, somebody could've gotten it for that!)
