Writing - fail
Okay, I didn't *completely* fail at writing today, but it was a close thing. This day did not Go As Planned (not in a horrible way; it just didn't), and I really don't function well when I had planned on having time to myself and then end up not. I have a much harder time getting things done when someone else is home.
I really shouldn't complain; 220 or so words on Silver and an entire drabble (only one more to go!) is a whole lot more than I've gotten done in ... oh, the past week? I know, most writers would be horrified. "You should write some every day!" - yeah, in an ideal world, and maybe for people with more organizing skills and/or fewer passions and other time-demands than me. Artists should draw every day, and knitters knit every day, and sewers sew every day, and somewhere in there I'm supposed to get the house and yard cleaned up and organized and deal with the daily maintenance and maybe have a life - and oh yeah, work and school?
...Wow, that sounds a lot more bitter than I mean it to be. I'm feeling cynical, but not really upset about this. I'm actually quite pleased with them small amount of writing I was able to get done; Part XII actually has a firm start, which had been eluding me for a while - and like I said, only one more drabble to go. But I had intend to spend several hours on writing, not the chopped-up maybe-one hour that I did.
