Brotherhood eps. 52-54

Okay, that was well worth watching. On the whole, I thought Al's fight and Roy's fight came off better in the manga, but they were still amazing. But the end part of Roy's, in 54, was incredible. And the subtext - it doesn't even seem right to call it "subtext" anymore, more like all but spelling in out in BIG NEON LETTERS. And I thought it got strong in the manga, geez, that was nothing compared to Roy/Maes flashback central here.

And I'll be damned if I don't have a fem-crush on Olivia now. I mean, she's awesome in the manga, but that voice did me in. Apparently all it takes to make me question my sexuality is an amazing badass voice *coughPakuRomicough*

Riiiiiight. Nothing gives a guy a boner like being hit and screamed at by someone who was raised as his sister....to me Ed/Win is Elricest with tits and violence....and frankly I'd rather see him screwing Al or Hei--at least they won't scream "you're gonna buy me this!" "You're gonna pay my way!" then beat the crap out of him. What was that line in the movie? "Why is it every time I see you I end up in pain?" Note also in the movie that Sheska was there with them the whole time--so Ed was thankfully chaparoned from that wrench throwing twat.

Yep. At least with Al or Hei he wouldn't end up the "browbeaten husband". EdWin shippers will argue "but they really do care for each other" - and they do, but that doesn't make it any less dysfunctional. And if that's how he acts with the person he's "supposed" to be falling for, then his snarking with Roy and calling him Colonel Shit may as well be a declaration of love!
