"Please call Mike"

Got a really wierd note on my windshield this morning, before I left for work: it was something like "If you decide to sell your car, please call Mike [phone number]" It looked like a photocopy of a handwritten note. WTF? Is this guy wandering around the neighborhood, looking for cars he likes and leaving little notes on their windshields, in the faint hope that maybe one of them is looking to sell? Does this even make sense? Dunno why he'd want my car, anyway; it's over 10 years old, has bubbly tinting on the windows, and a rust-eaten tailpipe. It's also a Honda Civic - not exactly a high-end car. I dunno, maybe he's some poor college student who's looking for a cheap car. It still doesn't make sense.

Haven't you learned that in today's world. things rarely make sense. You should look at it this way. Someone was interested in your car. Thus that makes your car a commodity. And you can look at your car and go "Hey, my car is so cool people off the street want to buy it!" It's all about perspective.

True, that's better than "Why the hell would he want this hunk-o-junk??" thinking...

Maybe Mike fixes up cars to re-sell or something? Maybe Mike is insane?

Uhh... sure! I'll take either.

You could call Mike to ask, and hang up if he was scary. ;)
