I was in Japantown yesterday and neglected to pick up any taiyaki. I was planning to, but then we got distracted and ended up leaving without any. We were all the way to Britex before we realized, and at that point we didn't want to walk all the way back. Sadness... We did get a box of Pocky, though, and had sushi for lunch, so all is not lost. But I really wanted some taiyaki....

We did fufill our main purposes for traveling to Japantown, which were to sign me up for the Cherry Blossom Parade (made it into the costume contest - #82 out of 100 possible entries) and to find my mom a birthday present. I originally planned to get her a teapot, but we didn't see any she really liked, and she ended up finding a book that looked really interesting so I got her that instead. And no, I didn't buy any more Copics.

I forgot to look for navy 1" wide velcro while we were at Britex, though. Guess I'll have to settle for whatever JoAnn's has. I think they only have 1/2" in navy.

Pocky is nummy... I was kinda sad the store we were in didn't have the dark chocolate kind (Pocky for Men - I guess only men are supposed to like dark chocolate) but the regular is good, too.

I'll be Ranma - this (http://www.deviantart.com/view/7706488/) same character but with a sleeveless white shirt and navy wrist bands. I will hopefully have pictures to post after the parade.
