Roy angst, Roy/Maes undertones like woah, Hawkeye being, well, Hawkeye, Ed being perceptive - and the Armstrong siblings totally kicking ass - Arakawa just keeps out-doing herself.

(God...Emo!Roy...damn, WHY are you so HOT??? ) That "Bring it, Bitch!" just was the biggest WTF moment ever! That was like the final comeback for every "shrimp" remark Roy has ever tossed at him. I'm sorry, but it's as if Roy's got a secret closet--even if it was only big enough for the memories of Maes--and Ed just threw the door w-i-d-e open.
And I read on another posting where Raja clarified an important point: Arakawa's firmly against Ed/Roy. Aparently she never said ANYTHING about Roy/Hughes. and I can kinda see her point. Prior to the movie where Ed is 18, he's still 'shota' in the manga....whereas Hughes is a grown man. And it was so obvious that he was actively avoiding Gracia--Hawkeye had to literally drive him there herself.
Dear god---is Riza Hawkeye a...gasp...FAG HAG???? (hey, I've been called a FH more times than I could count...and laughed it off.). Actually, I've always fantasied that she was getting it on with Olivier---now THAT would be a Yuri couple that could spark my interest....
