Okay, there's a spider on my desk somewhere, but there's so much crap that it can hide really easily, and getting at it with the cup is rather hard, and I still have enough of my childhood phobia that I jump whenever I catch sight of it and I really would rather get rid of the damn thing before I go to bed tonight (::shudder::).

In other news, I really didn't mean to take a week-long break from the internet, and now I have a bunch of posts to catch up on. Go me. I was just horribly unfocused the first half of this week. But! I passed the motorcycle safety course on Sunday, and now I just have to wait for the paperwork to come in the mail and then I can go down to the DMV (blegh) and get my M-class license.

Word. Yesterday a cricket somehow got in my room and leapt onto my chest while I was lounging on a chair. (That I was sitting around without a shirt on made it worse.) I freaked out something fierce, giving it a chance to escape. But later that night, when I turned out the lights to go to sleep, I could hear it moving around my room.

It was large enough to be fricking audible when it was crawling around!

Fortunately I was able to locate it and kill it, but yeah. ERNGH.

The problem is I can't bring myself to squish anything much bigger than an ant, especially if there's a chance of it going crunch. Dunno what I would have done about a cricket.

Still haven't found the spider.

I do. The cats work sometimes, but only if the spider is at all visible. Which I suspect it's not, right now.
