Brotherhood eps. 52-54

Okay, that was well worth watching. On the whole, I thought Al's fight and Roy's fight came off better in the manga, but they were still amazing. But the end part of Roy's, in 54, was incredible. And the subtext - it doesn't even seem right to call it "subtext" anymore, more like all but spelling in out in BIG NEON LETTERS. And I thought it got strong in the manga, geez, that was nothing compared to Roy/Maes flashback central here.

And I'll be damned if I don't have a fem-crush on Olivia now. I mean, she's awesome in the manga, but that voice did me in. Apparently all it takes to make me question my sexuality is an amazing badass voice *coughPakuRomicough*

I see it,, like back in training camp days (cause Hughes/Gracia is adorable) But even if nothing happened, there is so much that can be implied.. Plus Roy/Riza hasn't happened. SO it's still fanon. You never know what the end would be. Maybe Roy dies and she marries havoc (I don't want Roy dead!) but for it to be treated as canon when it hasn't actually happened is what is annoying >< Because as it is, who knows? Maybe they all live but Roy is driven to rule and won't bother with Riza and she finds somebody else. That's what annoys me the most. These pairings while implied a lot, haven't happened so they're not freaking canon. WHich is what some of the het fans need a does of. That they precious aren't canon til they actually do happen ><

Sorry for going on a rant and an ot rant at that XD;;;

I can't see Hughes cheating on Gracia at all. But there were some very intense feelings between Roy and Hughes (strong enough to make Roy go berserk!) whether they were acted upon or not. Whereas he hardly treats Riza any differently than his other subordinates (and I like Roy/Riza - or I like it from the anime).

I think what annoyed me the most about the hate!sex comment was, has that person taken a good look at the way Ed interacts with Winry? His supposedly canon "love interest"? And they call Roy/Ed "angry hate!sex"??

Exactly. He was upset when he thought she was dead yes, but he did not have the rampage over it like he did with Hughes (even if it was, YOU KILLED MY BEST FRIEND! and he never had romance feelings for Hughes, he showed MORE emotion over him. He's worried ore over Ed and Al then he did about Riza) The hate!sex.. __ And the they have to be together or he's powerless? Um WTF would he take up something that required that? And I bet she would never let him if he did. She protects him yes, but being that close all the time? She'd be the one to kill him XDD And the everyone should ship canon! No, just no. Just cause it's canon doesn't mean it'd work. That commenter needs to go back and reread the manga before she says that they have to be together all the time or something again -_- And learn about things before she says them. ROy/Ed only have angry makeup sex XDD ANd this is why slashers and heters can't get along.. because one always starts up wank and are asses >

Riiiiiight. Nothing gives a guy a boner like being hit and screamed at by someone who was raised as his sister....to me Ed/Win is Elricest with tits and violence....and frankly I'd rather see him screwing Al or Hei--at least they won't scream "you're gonna buy me this!" "You're gonna pay my way!" then beat the crap out of him. What was that line in the movie? "Why is it every time I see you I end up in pain?" Note also in the movie that Sheska was there with them the whole time--so Ed was thankfully chaparoned from that wrench throwing twat.

Yep. At least with Al or Hei he wouldn't end up the "browbeaten husband". EdWin shippers will argue "but they really do care for each other" - and they do, but that doesn't make it any less dysfunctional. And if that's how he acts with the person he's "supposed" to be falling for, then his snarking with Roy and calling him Colonel Shit may as well be a declaration of love!
