The "Tabula Rasa" theme is supposed to let you customize the layout, colors, etc., right? But nothing I was doing was showing up. The journal didn't even look the way it did in the little theme preview, it simply had no formatting *at all*. It makes me think it's a bug in their system.
The Tabula Rasa is for custom CSS. You have to go to the "custom css" bit and untick the "use layout's css" and then put your own in the Custom CSS box.
There are some basic CSS layouts available on some of the comms, which'll tell you the code. If you need help tweaking and such, or you want to use mine as a foundation, just let me know :)
That's what I was doing. But none of the CSS I put in - background color, text color, text formatting - was showing up. What I want is something similar to my writing journal on LJ. I've gotten things pretty close with background and text color, I may just sit with this until they put out more themes.
