How did I miss not one, but two updates this summer? Anyway, I am very happy to find them.
So interesting to see Yu and Roy both working their verbal magic. Roy with Radcliff, and Yu with Mei at the top of the chapter, and with Ed later on. Although maybe "magically poking at Ed" would be a better description. I loved how you wrote Ed's reaction to that. He recognized it as similar to Roy, but responded to it in a more considered fashion than he would have in his youth. It was a good way for you to show how he's still Ed, but a grown-up Ed. I get the feeling that Yu thinks that Roy spoils Ed a bit.
I also liked that Al walked in just as Mei was talking asking what could have been created in Liore. Little does she know . . . (he wasn't created in Liore, but his current non-armor state is a result of it, I think).
Finally, I'm very intrigued by how you're working the two alchemy systems together. This is such a good, plotty fic.
