Lammas

Oh, hey, it's Lammas. These things sneak up on me....
It's a good time to remember and be thankful for where our food comes from. Most of us don't harvest it ourselves, but someone does. Not just our food, but our clothes, furniture, everything we own had to be made. None of us are living in isolation. (There's a touch of the Divine in all of that as well. It's too easy to forget that.)

I'm working a good chunk of the day, but I might bake some bread tonight.

happy lammas to you, too! I went to the beach for the first time all summer today (all we've had is rain, rain, rain...) I was really grateful for friends and community. There was a ritual today, but there's another next week I might be going to. Hope your bread turns out well! (can't eat bread myself, but I did make some great pork chops for dinner, LOL).

The bread turned out crumbly, but still good ^_^ It was a new recipe and technique, so we weren't sure what we were going to get.

The beach sounds fun! I haven't been to the beach all summer, and I can't blame the weather. Lacking both time and I think motivation, I guess.
