When inking, if you decide to brace one hand against the other, you might want to ensure that the bottom hand doesn't slip off the easel.

But I dunno, I kinda like the splat. I think I'll keep it.


On an unrelated note, Dreamwidth has announced that the community importer should be live in the next few weeks. It'll only be available to paid accounts at first to control the influx, but will then be open to everyone. Details are over here toward the bottom of the post.

Or overbalance your easel, which is another favorite of mine c_c. Sometimes those drafting tables are awfully tempting....

Mmmm drafting table. It i have to choose between an easel and one of those, it would be the drafting table all the way. Though typically the only painting I do is watercolor or digital, so tables are better for me.

Thanks for the info on community importing. Some of my communities are already starting to move over there so it's good info to pass on.

Having been a one blog person all these years though, I gotta admit that I hate it. It's totally understandable, what with the crucial role that comment subjects play in most communities, but still.

It is a big pain to move. But I don't trust LJ not to screw us over, especially after reading that LJ staffers have been known to abuse their power (described over here (http://shiokku.dreamwidth.org/363.html)). Dreamwidth seems to at least listen to its users.

My account renewed before this whole travesty, but I'm really thinking it will be the last year I pay for my service. I mean, I like having extra icons and being able to edit comments- oh wait, free users can do that too!- but the way things stand now, I just don't think I can support this site financially anymore.
