How I spent my day off
Oct. 16th, 2003 09:47 amDoing fanart!
I should say "finishing," since I've been working on that for weeks. But now it's done! I had to scan it in pieces, since it's on 11/14 paper, but hopefully that's not too obvious.
This and the last picture I did of Silver are both part of an attempt to make myself slow down and not lose patience with my drawings. I tend to just want to get it done, so I end up rushing things. This would be why most of my drawings have half-assed backgrounds, if they have backgrounds at all. (This back ground took the whole ass. And I even did it first, before I colored the figures.) And man, the layers! The endless sharpening! Especially of the black, which is now about 2" long, but it was short to begin with. My colorless blender is probably half as long as it was when I started.
Wanna know how paranoid I am? I scanned in the pencil underdrawing of this so I had a back-up just in case I totally screwed up the coloring. I don't think I'll need it.
