Fingertip Amputations Prompt Graco Stroller Recall

What I always want to know is how this got past product testing in the first place. Aren't they supposed to look for these kinds of things? Especially with children's products. The lawn chair that amputated fingers was bad enough, but a stroller??

OMG!!

How horrible that it was found out like this...."Five children had their fingertips severed and two children received cuts on their fingertips."

Awful but thanks for the heads up...

I know, those poor kids! I can't believe these have been on the market since 2004.

OMFG that's awful!!! D:

It's really disturbing when I see these types of recalls on products that clearly weren't tested properly to begin with. Makes me wonder what else is out there, waiting to maim/kill some unsuspecting consumer. :-/

Yeah. I know things always look more obvious in hindsight, but I'd think metal pieces sliding past each other would be a red flag. What also gets me is that they're telling people to contact the company to get "protective hinge covers" - WHY weren't those on the thing in the first place??
