I've got silk!

shawk at Dharma today and did some damage. They didn't have the silk/hemp fabric I wanted to check out, but I got some silk tweed and a couple yards of sandwashed silk. I also found a raw silk skirt and some (cotton) pants on the sale rack. Mmm. Silk makes me happy.
Now I need to make time to sew.
Side note: the sleeveless shirt Ranma wears on his first day of school - that's supposed to be white, right? In the one and only color page I could find in the manga where he's wearing that shirt it isn't shaded much at all, so I'm assuming it's white. I wouldn't care except I'm a stickler for details. How about his wrist bands? What color are they supposed to be? Anyone know?
Must. Get. Sewing. On. Cosplay. Outfits.
Oh, and I got an easel today. It's big. It's heavy. It's wood. It cost about $200 (over half of which was a gift certificate from christmas). Now I need room to set it up.
