No takers on the beta'ing. I wish I could say I was surprised, but I couldn't even get a steady beta back when the fandom was active. Maybe because I'm asking for more than proof-reading? Pretty discouraging, though.
Look, i know what you're implying here, and you can't let yourself think that's true okay? I know i enjoy reading your fic. Hell, I've left you comments, and I have to be pretty moved to get out of my natural lurker mode.
I know - but this is at least the third time I've put out a plea on the comms for a beta. Most people seem to find betas within the fandom but I must be missing how. Between that and having two betas drop me with no explanation after only a couple of fics, yeah, it starts to get to me.
