About time the Do-Sew got here. We only ordered it, like, four weeks ago. Sadly the glass-head pins we also ordered are out of stock. More sadly, my wrists are bothering me too much to really think about sewing. Sigh.

Oh yeah, I just learned that the meds I've been taking for the last four years have about a 4% chance of having joint and/or muscle pain as a side effect. Wonderful.

Things are slowly moving forward on aps. Meaning, I've printed out the forms I need and am starting to request sealed transcripts. Unfortunately I need to call the local JC, because I need them to send the transcripts to me, not directly to the college. I also don't know if I've requested transcripts from them before.

The "Technology Literacy Form" is rather... I dunno. Annoying? Irritating? Stupid? "I meet the technology literacy requirements with the following work-related or personal experience (please list the skills learned/used)"
This is what they want:
1) Having a working knowledge of the basic functions of a Windows or Mac operating system including the ability to:
Install and uninstall application programs, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Reader
Create or open zipped files
Save to disk, find files, create directories, run programs
Copy and paste text, images, etc. from one application to another
Use word processing software to create, edit, and save (in various formats) a document which includes images or graphs
Use productivity and presentation tools (examples: Excel, PowerPoint)
Use a virus protection program (including updating definitions and running scans)

2) Have Internet connectivity and the ability to:
Send and receive messages via electronic mail
Use proper online etiquette ("netiquette")
Add and open attachments to e-mail
Install and upgrade a Web browser
Search and navigate the World Wide Web using a browser
Use a streaming media player (such as RealPlayer or Windows Media Player)

Uhm... I play with the computer and internet? I e-mail people? I'm not a moron?

((OT: LJ's spell check chokes up on the "ve" in I've, but not on "Uhm." Sure.))
