I dropped impishclawmarks down to basic and now the entry view is friggin' ugly... oops. Their little chart of features tells you you'll have fewer icons and no scrapbook, but doesn't mention that the entry/comment view will be not your journal style but the lj default and only the lj default.

Don't want to give them the advertising money, though.

As long as all the wonderful ficcage is still there, I can deal with it. Still remember visitng that LJ to read the Mother Arc for the first time and thinking--wow, I have to friend this person--I love her storytelling and art". Still do, dear,...and your jewelry too!

They might be a bit of an eyestrain to read now, but still there! It annoys me as a designer, too. Poor presentation of information ^^;. I'm trying to format the DW journal so that even if people comment on LJ, there'll be somewhere a bit more pleasant to do the reading.
