If I disabled the comments here, would you follow the link back to the DW post?

The short of it is, I don't like LJ's management and I don't trust LJ's management, and I'd much rather stay on DW. But I don't want to cut myself off from any of you. So, would you bother to take that extra click over to the other blog?

With more and more people posting to DW and Ao3, I'm not gonna lie: I kinda really have to want to go chasing something down to read and comment. But I am now always signed on to DW on my laptop, so it wouldn't be a big deal for me to comment to your post in a different DW tab. You should do whatever is best for you; don't base that decision on us.

If more of my closer LJ friends were making that full-on leap, I would make it a point to make more of an effort to check in with DW, and this wouldn't even be an issue for me. But as it is, I have a hard enough time keeping up with two LJ accounts sometimes. BUT for you, yes, I would step out of my LJ cave and comment on DW. <3

Part of the problem is that I feel disconnected from people enough as it is, and this little voice is wondering why I'm insisting on making it worse. But on the other hand I've really lost faith in LJ. I would still be cross-posting, but the comments would be disabled and it would have that little 'comment over here' link so it wouldn't be a complete vanish

For you--yes. But I am a creature of habit and while I'm not fond of LJ either I am used to it and will stay here.

For what it's worth, DW makes it really easy to import a journal with all its content and makes it effortless to cross-post. But yeah, I get that. And having a community established here makes it hard to leave. I don't want to cut myself off from anyone I've met here, but at the same time... I'm wanting less and less to support LJ.

I would still be making cross-posts, but the comments would be disabled and would have that little "comment over here" link. And of course I would still be reading my f'list.

Would definitely keep up the cross-posting! The only change would be that comments over here would be disabled.
