dragonimpThis is set to post on tumblr tomorrow morning, but I'll put it up here a little early. ('Early' since it's still technically Thursday where I'm at.)
Suppose Roy’s sight hadn’t been restored. He’s putting on a brave face for everyone, talking about the future, how he could be useful even outside of the military, etc. But Ed knows what it’s like to suddenly find yourself crippled. To not only have your entire life changed but to have your very sense of self and identity shaken up. And he knows that, beneath the façade, Roy is not okay.
And, even though his sacrifice was voluntary, Ed’s not okay right now either.
